Remembering Our Way Forward
Before Israel stepped into what was next, Moses called them to look back. In Deuteronomy 8, he reminds God’s people of where they’ve been — the wilderness, the provision, the discipline, the miracles — so they wouldn’t forget who God is or why they exist.
“Remembering Our Way Forward” is a call to intentional remembrance. It’s about tracing the faithfulness of God through our story so that gratitude fuels obedience, humility guards our hearts, and purpose anchors our future. When we forget what God has done, we drift. When we remember, we are re-centered.
This message invites us to reflect on the moments God carried us, shaped us, and provided for us — not to live in the past, but to let the past form us for what’s ahead. Because the future is not navigated by innovation alone, but by remembrance that keeps us faithful, dependent, and aligned with the God who leads us forward.
