Revival and repentance are inseparable. Daniel 9 shows us what genuine, biblical confession looks like, and it is far more demanding than most of us expect. Daniel prayed not just for himself but on behalf of an entire nation, using the word 'we' repeatedly even though he had little personal guilt to confess. He appealed not to his own righteousness but to God's mercy and character. God's promises never eliminate the need for prayer. They invite it. National renewal began when national sin became personal repentance. The same is true today.
